How time flies!
It’s been quite the year!
I haven’t touched this site in a year but have been busy with other non pottery related projects. I’ve made some more pottery I have yet to list on the Shopify store I have yet to update but it’s all coming at some point.
I got really into electronics development and got sidetracked from this project to make a little humidity controller for growing mushrooms (not the magic kind, although it would work just fine for those) out of Arduino modules and then learned how to use KiCAD to translate that design to a PCB. It’s a glorified humidor that I initially thought up as a solution for leaving wet clay for long periods of time between trimming the foot and pulling handles and things.
I go through weeks and months between going into the studio so I end up losing a lot of work in progress pieces. Sitting in a sealed tote for too long they end up mushy, too dry, or moldy. My controller cycles in fresh air and moisture as needed. Great for controlling rate of moisture loss in pottery and great for maintaining a high humidity level for things like mushrooms.
